In 2016 one of the UK’s most sought-after and best-loved baritones, Roderick Williams, was just beginning to study the work in German, when he was invited by pianist Christopher Glynn to collaborate on the performance of a new English translation. Now, he has been inspired to transpose Schubert’s traveller to a journey through English song and we are privileged to be among the first audiences to accompany him along his way.
