Faure’s setting is paired with Herbert Howells' powerful and intensely personal, unaccompanied Requiem – written in 1932 but not published until 1980. The performance will last about 65 minutes, without interval, giving concert-goers time to have dinner after the performance. The L’Inviti Singers is a chamber choir comprising singers handpicked from the UK's major churches and cathedrals (St Paul's, Westminster Abbey etc) and internationally renowned chamber groups (The Sixteen, Tenebrae etc).
