It received a staggering hundred performances worldwide in the year after its premiere. Bristol Concert Orchestra and their acclaimed new Music Director Alex Mackinder bring this crowning achievement of British music to atmospheric St Mary Redcliffe. We pair it with Brahms' Violin Concerto, which to this day stands as one of the all-time greats of the violin repertoire. Brilliant young Turkish violinist Elif Cansever makes her Bristol debut in this sublime piece of music. Join us for two great masterpieces.
