Programme Note
Born in Italy to an Anglo-Italian family, Thomas Masciaga performed his recital debut at the age of 12 in Siena at Teatro dei Rozzi, which lead him to winning several national and international competitions. At the age of 15, he started commuting between Italy and London to study at the Junior Department of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, from which he graduated with a first-class bachelor's degree and award of the prestigious Concert Recital Diploma. While studying in London, he regularly performed solo recitals and concertos (both in Italy and England) in venues including St. james's Picaddilly, Bechstein Hall and Milton Court, Barbican. He recieved ongoing mentoring from Konstantin Bogino at Academia Perosi and has been Talented Unlimited Artist since 2024. He is generously supported by the Robert Turnbull Piano Foundation.
